Virat Kohli And Ajinkya Rahane
New Delhi: Indian batsman Ajinkya Rahane has said that after returning home on winning the 2–1 Test series in Australia, he refused to cut the kangaroo cake because he respected his opponent. India won the series 2–1 with a historic win by three wickets in Brisbane.

Rahane was the captain of the Indian team in the last three Tests of the four-match Test series on Australia tour. Under his captaincy, India has won the historic Test series on Australian soil.

When Rahane returned home after the Test series win, he was strongly welcomed. He also prepared a cake for Rahane, on which the kangaroo was made. But Rahane refused to cut the cake.

Rahane said during a conversation with famous commentator Harsha Bhogle on his Facebook page, "Kangaroo is the national animal of Australia. I didn't want to do that. You beat the opposition team. Even if you win, you create history, but you should respect the opponent as well. "

He said, "You need to be respected despite defeat and victory. That is why I refused to cut the cake."

Virat Kohli did not play the last three Tests after the first Test in Australia and returned home for the birth of his first child. When Kohli was the captain, India was bowled out for 36 in the first Test.
