Three-day visit to Russia
Rajnath Singh is on a three-day visit to Russia to attend a joint meeting of the Defense Cooperation Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and a 75th anniversary event on the occasion of Russian Victory Day. Rajnath Singh tweeted, We specifically discussed the strength of defense-security relationship in both countries, including many issues.

Meanwhile, the 11th edition of the biennial bilateral maritime exercise between the Indian Navy and the Russian Navy is scheduled in the Bay of Bengal from 4 to 5 September. Singh said, these exercises demonstrated the shared interests of the two countries in maritime security in the Indian Ocean region. The Defense Minister also briefed General Shoigu about the Make-in-India defense program in the context of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's self-reliant India.
Russia Supports India
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh expressed appreciation for the continued support given by Russia to India's defense and security needs. In this context, he also mentioned the purchase of weapons systems with Russia. The statement said that the two sides would maintain contact to ensure timely supply.
Welcome to discuss AK-203 rifles
India and Russia also finalized a major agreement to produce state-of-the-art AK-203 assault rifles in India. Both sides welcomed the advance phase of discussions for the establishment of an Indo-Russian joint venture in India for the production of rifles. It is considered to be the most modern weapon available for the army.
Cathedral of Russian forces visited
Rajnath Singh visited the Russian Armed Forces' main 'cathedral' and museum complex in Moscow on Friday morning. This church was started on 20 June this year. There are a total of 6 domes in the church, which are dedicated to 6 troops of the Russian army. The museum present here gives information about the history of the Russian army and victory in the war.
