Final Year Examinations : States Discuss Guidelines to Conduct Exams in Covid Pandemic


As the Supreme Court has said that students will not get the degree without examination and have given a statement in favor of UGC. After all this, now state governments are thinking how to conduct exams? Through which way exams should be taken? Will online mode be right or should we adopt offline mode only? What kind of questions will be there with it? What should be the pattern of examination etc. was discussed.

Let me tell you that in many states like Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Assam, Rajasthan, there are flood situation.

Tamil Nadu

Sources have revealed that a meeting of all the Vice Chancellors of in Tamil Nadu was held and it was decided that the online mode would be chosen and where there would be no internet arrangement, the arrangement of offline would be considered.

West Bengal

Mamta Banerjee has said that the exams will be taken in October but it is not sure whether UGC will accept it or not.


Maharashtra is making all efforts for the students. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has said that the exams should be done with complete precaution, that too in a very easy way. Earlier, there was talk of online mode. Many things will be revealed after tomorrow's meeting.

Uttar Pradesh 

In Uttar pradesh state university (AKTU) has chosen to conduct exams in Offline mode. university had taken practical exams through online mode but for written test university decided to take offline exams.

Let me tell you that many states had opposed the decision of the UGC that it is a wrong decision to conduct the examination during the pandemic. The state can demand maximum time to pursue, but cannot give degrees without exams.
